great service in a budget stay

My family enjoyed a cozy stay at Hotel 81 Sakura, where the staff treated us like family. Their warm hospitality was a highlight, making us feel right at home. we appreciated the hotel’s reasonable pricing and convenient location, surrounded by tasty food options and local culture.

The room felt a bit dated, and could use some updates. There were minor cleanliness issues that stood out on occasion, making the shower experience less than ideal. The air conditioning also seemed to struggle a bit, impacting our comfort during the warmer days.

The central location allowed easy exploration of local shops and restaurants, while the comfortable beds and useful amenities like a kettle enhanced our family experience.

the sakura offers friendly staff and daily housekeeping service. the location near joo chiat road is wonderful for exploring local eateries and cultural sites.

Great value for money with loads of food options right outside. The MRT access is a bit of a trek, about 20 minutes’ walk, but passing through the local market adds character to the journey.

The rooms have paper-thin walls. you can hear everything from casual chats to alarm clocks at odd hours. Cleanliness could use improvement, especially with linens occasionally feeling neglected, and there were ants crawling near the headboard. The air conditioning could use a clean, as a musty smell lingers, making for an uncomfortable atmosphere at times.

while the location is lovely, the absoluteley tiny room felt more like a closet, and to top it off, I found a surprise in the bedding that wasn't a welcome gift at all. how each room comes without a bedside table is beyond me. I almost thought of giving a good review, but just couldn’t.

Take advantage of the laundromat across the street for quick laundry needs during your stay. The convenience can't be overstated.

Our family found the hotel to be conveniently located near the entertainment district with plenty of local dining options. Housekeeping was daily and attentive, ensuring we always had fresh water and amenities. It was particularly helpful that we could stay close together with our babies.

My wife says that the rooms felt a bit cramped for our large family.

The staff here were incredible! ! Especially Wynn and Ibrahim, they treated us like family! They were always ready to help, giving us great advice on where to eat and what to do in the area.
